Footway Renewal

Street improvements on Albion Street between Riley Street and Bourke Street, Surry Hills. These works will improve the footpaths, and replace some of the hard surfaces with plants for the local community to enjoy.

What work is being done?

• Installing a footpath made from a new environmentally-friendly concrete mix

• Improving access ramps

• Fixing damaged kerb and gutter

• New garden beds

• Installation of sandstone stepping stones

• Renewal of concrete driveways

The estimated construction period is January 2020 to April 2020.

Work will be carried out during the day between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 7:30am and 3:30pm on Saturdays.

UPDATE - Upcoming Night works is scheduled for early March 2020, notification to the community will be provided prior to commencement.

We will take steps to minimise any impacts on local residents and business owners. However, there will be some machinery noise, temporary parking restrictions and alternative access for people walking.
