Street Improvements

Street improvements at Baptist Street at the intersections of Zamia Street and Boronia Street, Redfern. These works will make the road safer for vehicle drivers, pedestrians, and bike riders.

What work is being done?

• New raised pedestrian crossings across Baptist Street

• Street lighting pole for new pedestrian crossing

• Constructing new stormwater pits and pipes

• New concrete footpath

• Road resurfacing

• Kerb extensions

• Garden beds

• Tactile installation

• Linemarking

The estimated construction period is March 2021 to June 2021.

Work will be carried out during the day between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am and 3:30pm Saturday.

Some night works will be required, and further notification will be provided to the community prior to these works.

We will take steps to minimise any impacts on local residents and business owners. However, there will be some machinery noise, temporary parking restrictions and alternative access for people walking.
