Construction update for week commencing 30 September 2024

28 September 2024

Dear stakeholder,

Construction works continue at the intersection of Goulburn Street, at the intersection of Jesmond Street, at the intersection of Foveaux Street and between Albion Street to Campbell Street.

Our construction work for the week commencing 30 September weather permitting includes:

  • Intersection of Goulburn Street - paving works and footpath works.
  • Intersection of Jesmond Street - continue the construction of new continuous footpath treatment.
  • Intersection of Foveaux Street - continue electrical work for underground services (night works).
  • Between Albion Street to Campbell Street - raised thresholds reconstruction outside 280 Crown Street.

Please note that night works are being carry out at the intersection of Foveaux Street. Working hours are 8pm to 5am between Monday to Thursday.

To minimize disruptions to traffic on Crown Street during the raised thresholds reconstruction works, detour routes will be in place 24/7. Please be sure to always follow the directions of traffic controllers.

We will work to minimise impacts during this time, however there will be some machinery noise, temporary restrictions to parking and temporary changes to pedestrian access.

Traffic control will be available on site for the duration of works to assist pedestrians, cyclists, businesses and car users. Customers will be able to access businesses during our works. Please follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times.

Your patience and cooperation during this period are much appreciated.

Please get in touch with the Community Liaison team with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Crown Street Upgrade project team
