INTERSECTION OF FORBES STREET AND CLAPTON PLACE, DARLINGHURST

Street improvements at the intersection of Forbes Street and Clapton Place, Darlinghurst. These works will make the road safer for vehicle drivers, pedestrians, and bike riders.

What work is being done?

• Raised pedestrian crossing

• New continuous footpath treatment

• Kerb and gutter

• New concrete footpath

• Garden beds

• Kerb extensions

• Asphalt road restoration

• Tactile installations

• Linemarking

The estimated construction period is November 2020 to March 2021.

Work will be carried out during the day between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am and 3:30pm Saturday.

We will take steps to minimise any impacts on local residents and business owners. However, there will be some machinery noise, temporary parking restrictions and alternative access for people walking.
